Q : How to use the service ?
The basic form of the service can be used by
following these steps:
(a) Dial 0844 584 0120 or 0870 119 0220. Leave your line connected.
Every Connected minutes will caused 1 QXDIAL+ credits (2
if 08701190220 is used during peak hours and 0.33 units if done during weekends) to be added to your account.
(b) Dial 0844 584 0102 or 0870 119 0202 and
then 00xxxxxx to make call.
For each connected minutes in (a), you will be able to speak for certain
number of minutes according to the following table:
Do not press the green button/send/call again when you finish
dialling the international/national number as doing so will cause the call to our
number to be put on hold and cause you to make call to the internationa/national number
DIRECTLY over your phone network, which can be expensive.

If you are calling from T-Mobile or Landline
and just want to call a fixed destination, for example, India only, a

For example, to call Afghanistan, it would cost
13 QXDial+ unit for each minute of call to Afghanistan if you access the
service via 0808 160 5648, 11 units if accessed via 0844
584 0102,
11 unit if accessed via 0870 119 0201 during weekdays and
12
unit if accessed via 08701190201 during weekends. The billing
is always per second.
If a destination is listed with 0 (zero) QXDial+ unit required, then you
can still use the service to call those destinations even after you have
run out of QXDial+ units.

at the bottom of the page) and cite evidence and we will see what we can
do. If you and many of your friends want to call, sometimes we are
able to lower the price by promising our supplier with significant call
volumes (the price would of course revert back to where it was if this
does not materialized...)
Q : What does this service allows you to do ?
This service allows you to Call
International and UK Fix and Mobiles Destinations using
units converted from your bundled
free minutes. This service
will greatly increase the value of your bundled mobile minutes as any
unused minutes can be converted and stored as QX Dial+ credit and used
it at
any time you want. Each mobile minutes 'stored' to our
system gives you 1 QX Dial+ credit.
Please scroll down for the table for the number of credit needed for
each destinations.
The principle of the service is based on in UK
telecom interconnect agreement where the originating telephone
company is required to pass part of the call charges to the phone
company that owns the number that you called. For example, if you call
an Orange number from a O2 phone, O2 has to pay Orange some money and
hence the high cost of cross-network mobile calls. The same
applies to our number ranges.
For some destinations, the money we received
when you call our number is sufficient to cover the money we need to pay
domestic/oversea telephone company to complete the call, those
destinations are destinations that are marked as 0 units which means you
do not need to store first before you can make call. For other
destinations, e.g. India, we will not have received sufficient money per
minute of the call to pay the terminating company. In such cases,
we allow you to 'store', by dialing into a computer voice respond
system, and by accumulating the revenue we received, allow you to make
calls to all destinations in the world according to certain ratios (e.g.
4 minutes store for 1 minute of call to India). The calling credit you
accumulated is called QXDIAL+ unit (or points if you would like).
We do not charge you directly, you are charged
by your telephone company in the normal way for dialling the
relevant type of number. For example, Orange Everyday 50 allows
inclusive minutes call to 0870 numbers. You make 30 minutes of calls to
08701190201 and then dial 0870 119 0202 to make calls to India and speak
for 10 minutes. You have used up 40 minutes of your daily allowance on
Orange ED50.

Anytime, T Mobile FT 750
- Email us from
a non anonymous email address (i.e. not hotmail) and we may, at our sole
discretion, allow you to access to a product under trial which may
benefit you. The solution only works if you want to call European, Far East,
North America destinations. 1000 off peak minutes on these plan will give
you roughly 80 minutes of talktime to these countries.
If you are on plan with unlimited call to 01/02 UK landline, the solution
will also work for you.
The service has little value to Orange Your
Plan, Vodafone Anytime and off peak plan user unless you also have another mobile on
the above O2/VF/Orange/T-Mobile/H3G tariff and wishes to spend the credit
accrued on your Vodafone Off Peak/Orange Your Plan mobiles.
0870 service for weekends..Cheap and
Best International call for Orange Everday ED 50, O2 Leisuretime and
A PIN based (as opposed to phone number auto-recognition)
based version of this service is available upon request.

Example:
Bob is on O2 Leisure Time Plus 1000 min free (highstreet) and has 1000 free minutes a month. He sometimes make call to Indian Mobile
- He dials 0844
584 0101 during off peak hours
and press "200" - the option to store the minutes when
prompted.
- He is then asked to enter how long he wants
to store. He enters 090 for 90 minutes. The system now
announces Connected for 1 minute, 2 minute etc..
NOTE: You will only be credited for
connected minutes. If you hang-up after 3 minutes, 3 QXDial+ units
will be credited (instead of the amount you pressed).
- At end of 90 minutes, he is disconnected by
the system. (He could have disconnect at any time and any minute
stored are credited.). The credit is added instantly.
- He then dials into
0844 584 0101
and select
"202" - the option to check his credit balance. QX system
announces that he has 90 minutes remaining.
- He then dials into 0844 584 0102.
The system
recognizes him via his caller identification number. He is
invited to dial the Indian number.
- From the following rate table, it takes 3.3
minutes stored to make 1 minute call to Thailand.
- He dials 0066xxxxxxx and speaks for 27.7
minutes using only O2 mobile free minutes.
- He can then dials 0844
584 0101 to topup if he
wishes.

Q : What do I need to do ?
| NOTE:
You need to call from a line that does not withheld your
caller identification to use this service. You must have
the telephone bill payer permission to use this service.

(1) You need to 'store' your minutes
onto QX system. What actually happens is that for each
minute that you are connected to our number, we receive a small
amount of money from your telephone company. By accumulating
these money, we can allow you to make calls to various
international destinations.

HOT!!!:
As of software upgrade on 5-4-2004, if you mainly call UK fixed,
US or European countries via our service but occasionally call
to mobile/more expensive destination, you do not need to store
your minute first. You simple make call using one of the
08701190202 / 08445840102 / 08712878102 access number listed in 2. For every minute that
you make call, some (listed below) QXDial+ credit is credited
back to you. You can check this via option 202 (as explained
below). The accumulated credit would allow you to make calls to
other destination occasionally. For example:
- Mary is a O2 Leisuretime Plus (highstreet) user
and usually make calls to friend in US in the evening and
weekends using O2 free minutes by dialing 0844 584 0102 and
then 001xxxx.
- For each minute that she calls, she
is credited with 0.1 unit of QXDial+ unit.
- Once a month, she calls her cousin
in Australia mobile from her o2 mobile, she would still be able to dial
0844 584 0102 and then 0061xxxxxxxx, still using her O2 free
minutes !
(2) QX system will ask you to enter an
option. The options are :
- 200 - Convert your calling minutes
which shall be used from the phone that you make this call.
The QX Dial+ unit accumulated shall be kept in an account
which is linked to your phone CLI. When prompted to enter
the duration, enter the duration in 3 digits format, e.g.
050 for 50 minutes, 150 for 150 minutes. The system now
begins the countdown 150 minutes remaining, 149 minutes
remaining...
The maximum minute you can store during a single call
is 300 minutes. Storing to 0870 119 0201 number is not
available during weekends. Please note that the total
minute stored may vary slightly from the number of minutes
you selected but the number of QX Dial+ unit credited to
your account will reflect the total number of minutes
actually stored . The QXDial+ unit is credited instantly
after your hangup / the call is disconnected.
- 201 - You will be asked to enter a
phone number that the QX Dial+ units should be linked
to. For example, you may wish to make call from your
landline 0207 1234567. You will enter 0207 1234567 when
asked to enter the phone number to store the QX Dial units
against.
To prevent abuse, you must first make a call from the phone
line (i.e. 02071234567 in this case) to either 0870 119 0201
(alternative 0870 1190201) or
0844 584 0101and store at least 1 minute worth of call.
If you permanently wanting to store against a number, please
email us and we can attached the number you want to store to
your account (and hence save you from entering it everytime).
- 202 - This reads back the credit
that you have accumulated. If you dial the 0870 access
number during weekends, the credit balance will be read back
to you automatically after the 'service not available
message'.
- 203 -
Same as 201 except that the system would use a default
number as the number to store against. Please email qxdial@qxtelecom.co.uk
to have the default number setup. Please quote the number
your are calling from and the target number in the email.
(3) To make call, simply dial one
of the following access numbers and you will be invited to dial
the destination you wish to dial.

Q : How does this save me money .... ?
- Take calling USA from Orange Everyday 50 for
example, you can 'store' your off peak minutes to the QXDial+
system. During daytime, use the callback service and then
001xxxxx. This would cost you 5 QXDial+ unit per minute during daytime.;
If each Everday50 off peak minute is valued at 1p/min, essentially
you can call US/UK landline etc for 5p/min directly from Orange ED50 during daytime
!
Q. What are the call charges to
0800/0844/0870/0871 numbers ?
Q : I am certain that I still have credit
(and option 202 announces it) but I cannot make call.
If you have made a lot of calls in the last 30 days, you might
have hit the high usage limit. Email qxdial@qxtelecom.co.uk and we will
get it lifted. We reserve the right to request a copy of your phone bill
if deemed necessary. The limit is very high and should be affect most
users.
The other explanation would be something has gone wrong...tell us and we
will fix it.
Q : Should I register for notification ?
You do not need to register your email in order to use this service.
However, as this is a fairly advance service and charges to 0870/0844
numbers may change, it may be useful to fill in the following short form
so that we can notify you of any changes.

TERMS OF SERVICE
By using this service you agree to be bound by the following terms.
Law of England shall govern this agreement.
QX Telecom Ltd reserves the right to modify, change or withdraw the
service at anytime without giving any notice. You agree not to use this service in any fraudulent, illegal or malicious way. We reserve
the right to vary destinations, reject/disconnect fraudulent calls without prior notice and
without giving any reason. Call charges by your provide may vary from time to time
and you should check it with them before calling. You must have the
permission of the person who pays the telephone bill to use this
service.
We are under no obligation to supply this service to anyone and may at
our sole discretion, refuse to provide any service to anyone.
Disconnection of a call into QX System - While our system is setup
to attempt to disconnect a call after the duration you specified, it is not
possible to guarantee that all calls is always disconnected at the specified
time due to various technical reasons. The announcements and tones will assist you to detect that the call
is still in progress.
You are therefore solely responsible to ensure the call is disconnected correctly.
By using the service, you explicitly agree that you are solely responsible
for ALL call charges that you incur.
You must also agree that QX Telecom Ltd cannot be held responsible
for any potential, direct or indirect losses that your may suffer as a result
of using or not using services provided by QX Telecom Ltd.
Generally, if you can prove that your call has lasted longer than expected,
we would credit your acocunt with QXDial+ credit equivalent to the FULL Time
that the call has lasted. We do so at our discretion and our decision is final.
We reserved the right to modify prices and terms of this service without
giving any notice. There is no expiry date for credits accumulated
but account inactive for more than six months (dormant) may have its
credits forfeited.
The service is not meant to be a continuous service and while QX Telecom
Ltd will make reasonable effort to ensure the availability of
this service, QX Telecom Ltd makes no warranty about the availability of the service. You
agree to accept the fact that as we ultimately rely on parties that we
contract to complete a call, call may not always connect. Under
such circumstances, we will make reasonable effort to ractify the issues
but we may not always be able to ractify these issues as it may involve
factors beyond our control.
By using this service, you agree to indemnify QX Telecom Ltd against all
direct or indirect loses to the maximum extend permitted by law of
England.
You also agree that our maximum liability
to each customer is limited to £500.
All minutes you have stored in QX Telecom Ltd system has
a cash value of 0.0001p per minute. E&OE.
